Fish Money: reset and delete your data

Last updated: 22 October 2026 · Game: Fish Money · Package: com.ObsessiveGames.FishMoney · Developer: Obsessive Games

Fish Money doesn't create an account for you. Your data can be in up to four places: on your device, in Google Play Games, with the ad providers, and in our support inbox. This page explains how to remove it from each.

Need help? Email enquiries@obsessivegames.co.za with the subject “Fish Money data deletion”.

1. Reset your adventure in the game

  1. Open Fish Money and tap Settings, then Reset game.
  2. Check the summary of what will be lost, then tap Reset & start again.
  3. If you use Play Games, stay connected until the game finishes syncing. Your cloud adventure resets when that sync succeeds. A reset made offline waits until you're back online.

Your other devices can't bring the old adventure back. When they reconnect, they switch to the fresh adventure and keep the old one only as a local recovery copy.

A reset starts you over, but it isn't a complete deletion. It doesn't remove:

2. Remove Fish Money data from your device

Open Android Settings → Apps → Fish Money → Storage → Clear storage (the wording varies by phone), or uninstall Fish Money. This removes everything the game keeps on that device:

Fish Money's data isn't included in Android backups, so clearing it removes it from the device. Your purchases stay linked to your Google account. Restore them in Settings → Captain's store → Restore purchases.

If you use Fish Money on more than one device, clear each one. Otherwise a device that still has your adventure can upload it to Play Games again.

3. Delete your Play Games data held by Google

Google stores your Fish Money cloud adventure, achievements and leaderboard scores in your Play Games profile. To delete them, follow Google's guide, Delete your Play Games data or Play Games profile. On Android this is currently:

  1. In the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Settings → General → Play Games profile → Privacy & settings.
  2. Tap Delete profile & game data.
  3. Under Delete individual game data, find Fish Money and tap Delete.

First clear Fish Money's storage on every device (section 2), so none of them uploads your adventure again. Google may change these menus; its guide has the current steps. We can't delete Play Games data for you, because Google holds it under your account.

4. Advertising data

If you were 18 or over and ads were allowed, Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and Unity Ads may hold advertising and device information about you.

Google's consent service is covered by Google's Privacy Policy, which explains your controls. We don't receive this advertising data ourselves, so we can't delete it for you.

5. Purchases

Google Play keeps your payment and order history under your Google account. Deleting game data doesn't cancel or refund a purchase or remove those records. You can ask for refunds through Google Play.

6. Delete your support emails

Email enquiries@obsessivegames.co.za with the subject “Fish Money data deletion” and tell us which emails you mean. Please don't send passwords, full card numbers or identity documents. We'll tell you if we need any reasonable confirmation, and whether we must keep anything for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute. We delete everything else, or remove identifying details from it.
